TEAM KAIDEN

With an infectious smile and laugh, thirteen year old Kaiden is a born “hype man” with a uniquely encouraging and giving personality. Incredibly empathetic, he will go out of his way to comfort others. He loves lifting, boxing, board games, and model rockets. Knowing how social Kaiden is, his parents are excited for him to have this opportunity to become more connected to the community through Duo.

Keith Hammond captains Team Kaiden. He ran track and cross-country in high school, but didn't run again until he was forty years old when he started running on a treadmill in his garage. Some of his fellow Flagstaffans encouraged him to start running trails with them and he's been doing that ever since, participating in over 100 races and racing more than 1000 miles along the way. Keith enjoys the camaraderie found through running more than competition saying, "I have always been a middle of the pack type of runner which is just fine with me."

ONE HUMAN RACE
TWO AT A TIME

We believe there's more to running than pace, splits, and medals. Training for and participating in running events opens the door to companionship, friendship, and community, enriching the lives of runners in ways beyond the physical benefits. However, some of us face challenges that prevent us from experiencing the joy (and sorrow) of training and the excitement of race day. We'd like to help change that.

Duo Run Club is building a community of people pursuing a richer life by experiencing the sport of running together. At our core are individual run teams consisting of a runner and a rider who is unable to run on their own for a variety of reasons. Our hope is that both runner and rider experience a deeper sense of our common humanity.

We’re backed by True Sport, a Tempe, AZ based nonprofit.
