TEAM ESTEBAN

Esteban, 13 years old, loves cars, books, bubbles, dogs, music, and swimming pools, not necessarily in that order. He's always flashing a big smile, revealing his big, happy heart. He and his family joined Duo at the invitation of David's mom. They see the club as an amazing opportunity to meet wonderful people and make memories while they run with a reason.

Paul Brinkmann captains team Esteban. He began running 40 years ago as a way to stay in shape for alpine skiing. Later he transitioned to competing in triathalons. He enjoys just about everything about running: being outside, the comeraderie when with others, the solitude and silence when alone, the fun of going fast, and the benefits to his health. Having heard about another team like Duo in the past, he had no hesitation about joining the club as soon as he found out about it.

ONE HUMAN RACE
TWO AT A TIME

We believe there's more to running than pace, splits, and medals. Training for and participating in running events opens the door to companionship, friendship, and community, enriching the lives of runners in ways beyond the physical benefits. However, some of us face challenges that prevent us from experiencing the joy (and sorrow) of training and the excitement of race day. We'd like to help change that.

Duo Run Club is building a community of people pursuing a richer life by experiencing the sport of running together. At our core are individual run teams consisting of a runner and a rider who is unable to run on their own for a variety of reasons. Our hope is that both runner and rider experience a deeper sense of our common humanity.
